It is worth noting that the entrance to the park in those days was paid, and ordinary peasants were not allowed there.
The lower park in Lipetsk was actively ennobled at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. In particular, in 1908 its territory was drained, and the banks of the Lipovka River were strengthened.
In the Soviet era, the park received a standard name: "Central City Park of Culture and Leisure." Here there was a dance floor, a cinema, a summer theater, a skating rink, a pavilion of crooked mirrors. Even later, the zoo and a planetarium were opened in the park. The historical name of the park was returned only after the collapse of the USSR, in 1997.
