Favorite pastries: pies with jam

Despite the fact that pies are frequentguest on the table, they remain all too beloved by many. The way of making dough and stuffing is different for everyone, with personal small secrets. Particularly loved by children and adults are pies with jam, which can become an excellent afternoon snack or a full breakfast.

The size and method of modeling products is individual. This dish can be cooked in the oven, or you can in a frying pan. In this case, the test recipes will be different. Preparing pies with jam is not as easy as it seems, because an incorrectly made dough can lead to the fact that during the frying process they will burst, and the filling will flow out.

In order to prepare this dish inoven, usually use yeast dough. To make it, you need half a kilogram of flour, one teaspoon of yeast, a pinch of salt, 25 grams of sugar. These dry ingredients mix with each other and pour a thin trickle of warm boiled water (you need about 200 grams). As a result, the dough should not stick when you touch it. It is also worth adding 35 grams of melted margarine or butter (the last option is preferable, since then the finished products will be more lush and tender to the taste). The dough is left in a warm place for 2-3 hours, that is until the moment until it increases in volume. After that, pies with jam are cooked, which will be baked in the oven at an average temperature of about 40 minutes.

If you need to fry this product forfrying pan, it is better to use milk for the test. In this case, the ingredients for a half-kilogram of flour will be the following: a glass of milk, dry yeast (about 10 grams or 2 teaspoons), raw egg, a little salt and sugar for the taste of the cooking. Also, a few spoons of sunflower oil are added to the dough, but you can do without it. After the dough is mixed, it is covered with a napkin and left at room temperature.

After a while it is worth it again to mix,if necessary add a little flour. The result should be a soft dough that does not stick to your hands, but not too steep (because the finished products can be harsh). The finished dough is divided into several parts, each of which is rolled out thinly, the inside is put on the filling, and the edges are tucked. Grilled pies with jam in a frying pan with sunflower oil on both sides until ruddy.

The stuffing can be quite differentjam or jam. Traditionally, they take apple, but you should pay attention to the interesting taste of quince or plum jam. You can add various berries or fruit, cut into pieces. The finished sweet pie filling should not be too liquid, as it can leak out - and the result will not only be burnt products, but also dishes that are very difficult to launder. If the jam is still liquid, then you can add a tablespoon of potato starch, which can be replaced with flour.

In case of unforeseen guests orreduce the cooking process, you can use the ready-made puff pastry, which can be purchased in advance at almost any store. In this case, the recipe for pies with jam will look like this. The dough should be thawed at room temperature, cut into it small mugs, on which to put the filling. After tearing the edges, give the product an oblong shape. It is better to bake this dish in the oven on medium heat for about half an hour. To make the patties glisten on top, they are smeared with egg yolk or pre-prepared sugar syrup.
