Our country for the most part lies in thoselatitudes, which provide significant changes in annual temperature - from frost phenomena to drying up heat. In this sense, people have to thicken the walls in order to improve the comfort (thermal insulation) of the dwelling. However, thick walls can exert a noticeable pressure on the foundation. The question is how to solve this problem. The answer can give a special brick, hollow and durable.
This material is much easier and easier to handlein comparison with simple building. The hollow ceramic brick makes it possible to erect more thin walls, while retaining the properties of absorption of noise and heat. In addition, the floors from it do not lose strength, as in the case of solid brick. The use of such a brick in construction is convenient and profitable for two reasons. First, the cost of material is reduced by saving raw materials and energy resources, and secondly, construction will require less material.
Bricks are made of clay. From other building materials it is distinguished by the presence of holes of various shapes, sizes and quantities. Slots can be either through, or simple grooves. Round and oval hole shapes greatly reduce the likelihood of undesirable cracking during brick making. The resulting volume of air in the product increases the thermal insulation properties of the material. It is important that the solution is thick enough and does not fill the gap, thus displacing the air from the cavities. This will reduce the efficiency of the use of bricks. The maximum amount of slits in relation to the whole figure can reach 50%, but the average index is within 36%. This percentage of voids will achieve the best performance properties of the brick.
Of the existing products on the market - brickceramic hollow and solid - each has its inherent advantages and disadvantages. For example, the solid volume of the figure allows it to be used for laying the foundation, the bearing parts of the building, where the hollow version is forbidden to use because of the high probability of freezing, rupture and fracture into parts. Also, it is not advisable to use a hollow brick for the construction of furnaces - due to the constant temperature changes and frequent overheating of the material, its integrity is violated. Solid brick, by contrast, accumulates heat due to its mass. Such properties will be combined as a base and facing - full-body accumulates heat, and hollow - retains.
Effective use of hollow brick findswhen constructing small-sized residential premises. In case of erection of uninhabited and, accordingly, unheated buildings, it will be more expedient to give preference to a different type of brick. Hollow version will have to be useful for building internal walls and partitions. Proceeding from the strength properties, a brick with holes is produced under the following brands: M-75, M-100, M-125, M-150, M-200.
