Wedding - an important celebration in everyone's liferights. In addition to creating a new family, each of the couple changes their life, status, goals and priorities. Everyone wants to have a strong marriage, and the relationship of the newlyweds developed as well as possible. Therefore, our people are so trying to honor their wedding traditions and rites in order to ensure a smooth family life in every possible way.
Now in our country there is no division into relatives,Slavic, and Western wedding traditions. Modern wedding so skilfully crossed everything, that at times it is not even clear whence came to us some action. So, for example, the ransom of the bride is a tradition of many peoples of the world, including ours. It is believed that the bride for the bride must pay a solid jackpot, then the parents can calmly give the daughter in marriage. Today, everything happens a little differently, in a certain game, when the groom, having failed to perform a certain task related to the bride, must pay compensation.
Boutonniere
Modern wedding traditions and ceremoniessuppose that the groom has a small bouquet of flowers - a buttonhole, which binds the bride to his betrothed. But today this tradition is a little changed, ideally, the girls simply wove their wreaths to their grooms as a token of love and devotion.
This custom is also somewhat transformed, but the flowers were always there. Only before the bride threw a wreath in the crowd of unmarried girls who decorated their head during the wedding ceremony. It was believed that the lucky woman who caught the crown of the bride, should soon be married.
Dishes
At all times there were also veryinteresting wedding traditions and rituals. Such, for example, is the smashing of dishes. Today, as they say, it beats happily: the more small fragments, the more happiness the young will have. But here earlier this tradition had a somewhat different purpose. So they checked the chastity of the bride. If the dishes, most often clay, broke up, then the girl is innocent, but if the whole was left, the bride had a hard time, and to prove the truth to superstitious inhabitants was oh how difficult.
"Bitterly"
Today at weddings they shout: "It's bitter!", So that the young ones can kiss. But earlier this word had a slightly different meaning. So, in the old days all who gave a gift, necessarily poured a glass of vodka. And the man, having drunk the contents of the cup, had to say: "It's bitter!" To certify those present that it was vodka that was drunk, and not water. Here such interesting Russian wedding traditions have remained with us and till now.
Wedding rituals and traditions of Russia suggestpresence at each celebration of witnesses. They must put their signatures in the registry office and assure others of the authenticity of the couple's marriage. But earlier witnesses had a somewhat different purpose. Back in ancient times, they were needed in order to deceive the impure forces and protect a young couple from adversity. Somewhat later, in the difficult Middle Ages, witnesses also saved the young, but this time from a real threat from the side of the Likhods.
Scythe
Modern wedding traditions and ceremoniessuggest the removal of the bride's veils and tie a handkerchief as a sign that the lady is already married. Previously, the custom was somewhat different. The girl was removed a wreath and must have braided the braid. This was done for the last time, because it was believed that a married woman should not walk a simple-haired woman. Then the girls did their hair to the bride, and she forever said goodbye to her hair on her shoulders.
